My Biggest Project.....EVER!!!

Before I retired, all my previous homes had a one car garage, and of course, as we all know, just not enough. I promised myself I would build my dream garage one day, and I did. Took me about 45 years, but I finally got it, and I don't mind telling, I enjoy the hell out of it.

My venture in photos, the basic pole barn and cement flooring itself was done professionally. The rest, it took just about 4 years to do by myself, with the help of my honey, good friends and neighbors (but I did most myself...:)).

First photo, previous garage.

Stunning fella. Well done getting what you have always dreamed of, know the feeling! Wish we over this side of the pond could mount signs like that on the outside of our premises !!😉

I must say I'd be over the moon just having your FIRST garage. My pathetic council garage is about half an inch wider than my C3 at the opening, and about 5 inches longer than the C3. It takes a while to get the car in the garage and I can't get a straight run up at it either due to it being a garage block. So have to go at it from a funny angle too.

Gonna move house later this year and I've already told the missus that I want a double garage. :D

Captaink, I feel your pain, this is my garage, note the piece of foam stuck on the wall to stop door damage!

I wish my current garage was that big - positively huge compared to my council garage. I miss having my Vette in my own house's garage (up for sale as I'm rarely there) as that is about the same size as your garage and feels huge in comparison. :)

Lovely Vette too - chromework looks fab and I like the exhaust tips too :D

Having recently acquired the 'Vette I've managed to stretch my two door garage to accommodate three cars - just! The MG has to sit on dollies to shuffle it sideways but the drivers doors on the other two are on opposite sides so I can always open one or the other without scratches.:)

With my 'Stang now sitting outside I'm thinking of swapping the house and garage around - although wife sometimes thinks I've already done that! :((n)
