Where (if at all) is the RPO/Options sticker/label on a C7 located?

Can't find anything on the interwebbie about it after a quick look? Do they have them on a C7? Thanks.

C7 Corvette RPO Codes listed below are specific to only C7 Corvette.

Some codes may carry over from previous generations with slightly different wording.

SPID Service Parts Identification tag is closely related to the RPO code.

On the C7 Corvette the RPO codes can be found in the rear compartment near the battery under the carpet.

Thanks ZR for the super quick response. :) Gonna be looking at one tomorrow, maybe to buy. Car was first owned/run by Chevy UK for first 2 years. Wanna make sure that it has UK spec headlights on it (RPO T85) as opposed to mainland Europe headlights (T84). Guess that the direction of the beams is gonna be a clue to that anyway? ;)

Am actually taking it to Ian Alan, the UK's only/sole GM authorised Corvette supplier for them to inspect it. Will suggest it to them as part of the inspection. That will look good in their yard? ;)

Good luck with the inspection I A should be able 2 look online at the vin number for you and tell you about the car they did with me when i bought my red c7 !!They told me supplying dealer when it was first registered recalls and inspected it for me only cost me £60 and they found the radiator was leaking and put a warranty claim in. Is it a manual one if so make sure you are happy with it as its not as direct as the caddy 6 speed which is direct into the box (no cables)!!

Yes a manual. Interesting day at IA. Spoke to Craig and mentioned your name/car, which he remembered of course. He has sold the black 2014, and new ones are selling like hot cakes, as well as Camaros. He's also taking orders for C8's (sounds like they are in it for the long term?). Doesn't have any C7 trade-ins in the pipeline, as most new car sales are outright purchases (no P/X).

UK car I was getting inspected didn't have a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) document. Per Craig, he can't get them, because of the rundown of Chevy UK (and Europe?) operations. Yes, got Bill in service (John Stowe has retired) to do 2 printouts from the GM Global Connect system showing recall history, and option codes on the car. Spoke to Parts and their Corvette trained technician about the headlghts. Per him they are "flatbeam," but do dip to the left. RPO/Option code "CU9 -Country United Kingdom" tells you it has UK spec headlights, so T84/T85 codes for the C6 no longer relevant it seems.

So met the dealer with car at IA in the morning, including the 12 months MoT he had done the previous day, after I asked him. IA inspect it and say it's an MoT failure, as both front wheels bottom ball joint covers have split. IA quote to replace - £1,700. Won't bore you with the subsequent converations. "Caveat Emptor" eh?

Corvette BlackBook details a lot of the RPO codes, no idea where if at all there is label on a C7 with the RPO Codes. Definitely not in the glove box or under the center console lid or under the carpet by the battery on a ZR1.

On the "base" 2014 UK spec car I had examined yesterday, it was under the carpet by the battery, as TeamZR1 says above. Weight saving measure on ZR1 to crack (what is it) 230 something mph? Mega car!!!

Nice motor. US spec/import car? My favourite colour/my C4 & C6 (now safely in the hands of club member Carl) were silver. But, only seen/know of 3 silver UK spec C7s:

1) A Chevy UK/Man U 2014 car (Bauer Millett supplied).
2) A '64 plate 2014 club members car (again Bauer Millett supplied).
3) A 2018 '67 plate Ian Allan supplied "Red Edition" that American Dreams were selling in March.

According to a guy on Pistonheads several years back who worked at Stratstones (C6 time), they would never order a silver one for "stock," only if a customer requested one.

Renewal on my UK/Euro spec C6 in Feb was £555. UK spec C7 probably similar? Think the old story that US imports are half the price still pertains?

Tax on a 2015 Vette is:
£570 (UK spec)
£265 (US import)

A UK spec Vette registered after April 2017 is:
£2135 - 1st year
£465 - 2nd year until 6th year
£145 - 7th year onwards

**edit to add 2017 for new rates, I stated incorrectly 2019

Thanks for info, I just won with my new car but lost with the wife’s. It’s starting to get expensive.

"Thanks for info, I just won with my new car but lost with the wife’s. It’s starting to get expensive." Don't (fully?) understand your comment, unless its US spec car for you and UK spec car for the wife? 2015 car? You thinking of buying the yellow UK car that was for sale in April?/Thought it was sold?

Tim, thanks for the detailed info. Must admit I had forgotten about the 2017 changes in RFT rates, including those for cars with a list price >£40k, until a Lexus dealer mentioned them to me the other week. Was aware that Ist year on a C7 is that much, but obviously if you are buying a new one from Ian Allan, that is included in the window/sticker price? See also that the new rules mean that, on some cars, the RFT rate changes again in year 6 I think it is? So if you are thinking of buying new in the US or Europe, presumably you have to factor in the £2,135 Ist year RFT in your calculations?
