Yes it is the same "Click" as you get with Russian Roulette

Better to lose on the Solenoid.

African Roulette is far more enjoyable, but not something I can post on here.

Barry- the starter solenoid may be worn - there is a copper angled connector in there somewhere - it can corrode/burn from the spark of starting after some years. - you may want to consider changing the stock starter (which has heat problems sometimes esp with headers) fora smaller high torque unit form Summit or others - they vary in price and performance.

Cheers, I have the smaller High Torque unit, probably about 1000 miles ago or less, but I do have a Heat Blanket on it - I wanted a metal deflector but one was not available when I needed it, the issue is probably the Blanket reflects heat away coming from the Headers, but retains any production heat within the Solenoid.

Whether gone or not I may change the Starter when we go through the system and get a shield fabricated to do the job properly - I need to find the Invoice /Spec for the last one, because the one before that (High Torque without a Blanket) had the Solenoid Post connections much closer to the Headers, hence the new one and with Blanket.

I tried it last night in the Garage and it burst into life straight away.
