Fully agree with Ross, whilst it may have helped having the card reader at the London show, it's not the end of the world.

The move to third party merchandise and online membership was purely down to a lack of volunteers, without enough of them there are few options left.

Westfield Sports Car Club has just put out the call for this years annual event. They need 12 people for setup/strip down, then a minimum of 20 each show day for stand,
snack bar, AutoJumble, meet & greet and the race series location. They get the number each year but it's a lot of people and without them they would have to scale back the event.

Good job all round CCCUK and well done committee, utopia can wait a little longer.

Fwiw, we (CSCC) sign people up at the shows using good old paper and pen, I haven't had anyone yet say they aren't comfortable adding card details in this way. I personally would have renewed at the show but need to wait for the Mojo thing to contact me?

It's good to offer a choice of how to sign up, be it paper form (with or without card machine) or online I'd have thought?

I thought the stand location was great, as were the variety of cars and enthusiasm of the volunteers. The only things I would change are to have some sort of handout and higher quality signage. I think it's important to reflect the brand and also visually show what the club offers. Can Chevrolet/Ian Allen supply a large Corvette logo/sign/pop up?
Does the club have feather flags that it uses at the Nationals?

Hi Dave,
Just to clarify, a new member can join at any time through Mojo, the renewals however, are set up to open at a specific time, in our case early April.
Providing Mojo has a valid email address for you then you will be contacted with a link that will take you to Mojo. Details of what to expect and how to renew are in the current issue of the Club magazine.
If anyone has any questions that are not covered in the article please feel free to PM me.

Fishy Dave,

Good to see you the other day. I hope the show was a success for your Club in the end.

To pick up on your point about the flags we have plenty, but the problem is getting them (and their heavy bases) on and off site when I'm only there for the first half of the show.

Signage could be improved perhaps, but that will be for the new Events Secretary to work on.

Thanks, good to chat, it was a better show for us than last year.

Also thanks to Jackie for the reply, I can see that electronic renewal is the future. I was just happy to have renewed in person the old fashioned way if that option were available. Smile
