Re: New Teslas..

I see its started.. The squeeze has begun..

New MOT rules from May this year.

http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/162254/new-mot-failure-catego...

This'll be designed to get us thinking towards acquiring a new, probably electric car instead of maintaining our beloved IC motors, and I'm told that the IC cut off date will be brought forward, so anyone wishing to still run an IC motored vehicle better get one with a Historic ticket asap as the prices will be rising in the face of this..

Just waiting for the flood of disposable Chinese and Indian electric cars to arrive in the UK. Maybe we'll get to assemble them here and create jobs for some..

Re: New Teslas..

The issue of limited availability of the rare earth materials used in battery product hasn't yet been addressed properly - as has the ultra confusing street charging network - factor-in the increased no's of pure electric vehicles factor-in the increasing numbers of apartments being built to house all the additional people needing housing - factor-in the National Grid at 96% capacity with no government plan to address this - factor-in alternative power generation being weather dependant - factor-in imported power from Europe - factor-in post Brexit implications - do I need to carry on any further?

Re: New Teslas..

To be fair im an advocate for electric vehicles. yes its not perfect and yes they are (at the moment) completely charactarless. but the speed...... I drove a p85d the other week - it would leave my vette like it was stood still.

use a leaf for commuting, it does the job well. especially as can plug it in at work Wink
