I think I saw your car in St Ives Shell station the other week, good to see it out and about!

I actually had a few LT1s and have replaced optiís and water pumps on a lot of them Thumbs up

Re: 1993 Cutting Out

HELP

2nd Opti fitted today. Very careful to keep it dry and all went well. Now starts but only firing on 7. Checked all leads are ok and assume as duel exhaust I can tell which bank is playing up due to ragged exhaust note. So I have 4 leads/plugs which could be not firing. Due to poor access, is there any simple way I can find which cylinder is not firing.
thanks

Take the plugs off one at a time while running (rubber gloves and tool needed)
When the engine note doesnt change thats the one.

Re: 1993 Cutting Out

If you can watch it idle in the dark, you may see a lead's insulation breaking down and it arcing off something, often accompanied by a tapping sound. Use a stick to prod the leads around.
