5 German Corvette on a North England trip in May

Good afternoon all,

as I am living in Yorkshire and got lots of interested friends in Germany wanting to visit me, I set up a North-England Tour with 5 Corvettes from 20.-26.05.2018. we will be 5 couples and will explore York, Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and the Peak District.
Everything is booked and I hope to have the main highlights included.....

So as I am sitting here planning I wondered if it would be a nice idea to meet at one point of the tour with some of you for an afternoon tea or even a beer? Maybe we could do something on the 26.05.2018 when we will drive from Rowsley in the Peak District to Hull, where the guys will enter the night ferry back to Rotterdam in the evening?

Ideas welcomed!

Hans-Georg

Good morning guys,

on sunday our friends from Germany will arrive with 2x C6 (427 and GS) and 2xC7 (GS and Z06) and we will start the tour.
Fingers crossed we will have nice and sunny weather.

On 26/5/18 at 3 p.m. we will end up at Rossington Hall for afternoon tea.

https://rossingtonhall.co.uk/events/cakes-carols/

As we are 10 we will get a nice little extra room and we will be able to get the vettes infront of the building to take some nice pictures. Later on our friends will catch the ferry at Hull back to the Kontinent.

So, if anybody would like to join us that would be very much appreciated.

Maybe cu
Hans-Georg

Shame that is a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Newcastle. Too far to meet a few people and have tea for an hour.

Hope you had a great time guys - it would make an interesting read in Vette News - a British trip from a European perspective Yes
Send me some hi-res images and the 'story' and we'll feature it Thumbs up

@ Martin: yes and fine you enjoyed Suhl. We were 4 times there and itís overwhelming but too big already. But thatís just my personal opinion.

And yes it would be a good story and I have some good pictures taken with my small Canon. I am only afraid my English isnít good enough.....

Letís see.

The last day we were surprised by Don and some Yorkshire Corvette Drivers so we ended up in an English-German Corvette meet. A big ĄThank youď to Don and all who joined us yesterday!

Having a lot of bhp is all very well, but on these forums it's torque that counts

4 Corvettes arrived yesterday afternoon without any problems again back home in Germany.

I myself arrived already 15 minutes after the meet with the club colleagues at home as I am living here..... Thumbs up

Thx for the compliment but to write an article in the Corvette News it might not be enough.
