You are not using the Goodyear "Gatorback" belts is the problem. They are the only ones that don't squeak or chirp after a while.

I’m using the Gates Fleetrunner belt, got a lot of good feedback on US forums for forced induction, but anymore great and I get a “Gatorback” but I think the pulley under tha alternator was probably the issue, I’ve renewed them all now even the 2 A/C ones.

Spend the weekend with Barry, Martin & Kay and roughly 500 other Corvette owners at the Suhl meeting in Germany.

--------------------
Callaway Honker
Ported throttle body
Ported intake
Crane Cams 1.8 ratio rockers
Kooks Jet Hot coated headers
Pfadt Johnny O'Connel shocks
Hotchkis sway bars
Diablosport Trinity with custom tune
Brian Tooley Racing valve spring kit

When launching and stopping this beast, passengers may experience temporary black-out due to "G" forces
caused by acceleration and deceleration speeds faster than what they are normally accustomed to.

Great weekend in Suhl, long way to go.Only two cars from the UK. Great company from our friends from the Netherlands and Sweden. Well done to the minorities.

Pretty mundane, oil and filter change, plus new serpentine tensioner. The most satisfying part of that job is resetting the oil life to 100% Laughing

All ready for the Nats Very Happy

Re: What did you do with your Vette today?

Eventful day yesterday.

One of our NE members had an "off" in his C7 on his way to the show we were attending at Thirlestane Castle in the Scottish Borders.

Thankfully only minor paint damage to the car but not at all very pleasant for the driver.

A local garage pulled the car out of the ditch and put it up on ramps at their premises to make sure everything was safe. The bend is a well known local black spot.

It meant some of us got to the show an hour later than the rest but due to the massive traffic jams getting into this huge show it didn't really make much difference.

I left the show mid-afternoon because I was extremely tired due to our dog being ill all night and a window suddenly developing a leak and the rain pissing into our bedroom.

Within a few miles of leaving I almost crashed myself due to falling asleep at the wheel. I had to pull into Jedburgh and park up for 20 mins sleep.
That did the trick and I drove the next 1.5 hours fine.

There is a lot to be said for booking a room the night before a show that you have to be at early and is 2+ hours drive away from home. This I am doing for the big show in Edinburgh and the Mopar Nats next month.

That was a lucky one Dave - had the 'off' been a few yards earlier and 'connected' with that road sign the result could have been very different Yes

He just clipped it. The glass popped out the drivers door mirror but I popped it back in for him and it works fine. Quite a few scuffs down the side and on the wheels. But no actually panel damage.

A few inches to the left and it would indeed be a different story. A little to the right completely missing the road sign and the local garage guy said it would have done what most of the cars do when they come off there and ended on it's roof slightly further on.

I bought this piece of rocking horse poo for my 89 C4. Not sure if I should fit it now and see if I can beat my mates LT1 or leave it on a shelf for a year whilst I get some nice heads & cam.

It's a TPIS Miniram complete with adjustable fuel pressure regulator, throttle body, fuel rails & lines and 30lbs Bosch red top injectors.

Re: What did you do with your Vette today?

It's one of the best intakes for the L98 but I'm conflicted. My car has 100k on it now so I don't think it'll like revving to 6k or more having spent its life under 5krpm with TPI. Likewise if I changed heads/cam I would get a lot more oomph than with just the intake. Has anyone modified the L98/TPI here?

I got the intake for a steal, it's about $2k worth...
