History of my vehicle VJD 5G

Please help if you can,

I am trying to piece together the history of my Rally red C2 index VJD 5G, I have been told several things about her which I need to confirm and would be obliged if anyone out there could furnish me with any information about my vehicle whatsoever.

I have been told that it was a UK car from day one and was imported by Lendrum & Hartman in Albemarle Street, Piccadilly W.1
It came over in white but the dealership obtained permission from GM to give it a factory re-spray in Rally Red which is why she was registered in November 1968 and could in fact be the very last registered UK C2 Sting Ray.

I am aware the Claremont Corvette owned the vehicle in November 1997 as I have an issue of Classic and Sports Car magazine which featured a 6 page article comparing my vehicle with an Ac Cobra. Claremont supplied my car at the time and if you look in their gallery on the website you will find pictures of her.

My vehicle will appear in a 7 page article in the September 2018 issue of Classic Cars Magazine.

Please contact me either on this forum or preferably via my e-mail address w.riches @ btinternet.com if you can confirm or disprove any of this or add even the smallest of details about her history.
