My point is some owners THINK their cars are fine. It's only when something stops working they wonder what is up because "it was alright before".

In my case the owner of the C3 had no idea that brake fluid needed changing. He thought you just had to top it up now and again.

Without a compulsory test things like this are going to happen.

My C3's front brakes had started leaking recently. Thankfully it hasn't been driven in a while as its been undergoing some work in a garage - and they spotted it whilst it is with them. It is MOT exempt now, but I'm always gonna get it checked yearly just to make sure it is ok. Last thing I want to do is have it being unknowingly broke and I end up destroying it / killing people etc.

The standard brakes on a C3 often leak fluid when they have been standing for a while, but settle down when used.

The best way to solve the above is stainless steel sleeved calipers with "O" ring lipped seal pistons.

But caution is the word, my initial comment above does not mean your car is safe to drive.

The ones I did there was enough air in the lines to blow up a bouncy castle. LOL.

Thanks. No, that is a fellow club member's, something I offer the guys when they need help, or change out the dirty OEM break pads to the clean ceramics.

Went to a meetup in Newport last weekend before taking the old road up to Cheltenham racecourse for another. Fun mix of cars driving up, everything from an M3, Lancia Delta and Range Rover SVR.

Had a nice time catching up with my friend and his 4 speed big block Camaro. Most fun tyre to engine ratio!
