Didn't bother trying today (took the wife 25 minutes to go half a mile and then walk home) Laughing

Re: Whose snowed in?

Its wonderfull here in the darkest depths of South West Essex - 6" of snow Laughing no buses out today, very few cars out today - roads are so quiet - think I'll take the Vette out for a ride - er, perhaps not - too many A H's who have never seen an icy road - 1 series BMW's seem to be having major issues moving forwards or backwards Clap

Yes - oddly, it's my driveway that always causes the greatest challenge. I managed to get to London and back today, but couldn't get back on my drive afterwards!!

PS - Simon - Paul finished the carb off!!

Brilliant! Thumbs up

Guess who added 170mm of insulation to their loft last week? Dancing

Spot the difference (our house is on the right):

No more impressive case study (vis a vis insulation) could be made than this photo.

I know - I'm amazed and really pleased. It's an objective demonstration of the improvement we think we can feel in the house and it justifies the many hours and £100 that I spent up in the loft last week.
And these are fairly new houses - they were supposed to be efficient already!

(And the central heating was on for the 12 hours before I took this photo.)

And I was going to say that perhaps you didn't have the heating on Rofl Rofl Rofl
Some of the modern houses you expect to be well insulated are anything but! On estate houses the less than scrupilous builder/sub contractor can save some money by de-specifying all houses actually built after the show house and where there isn't an effective develper/surveyor/architect inspections - no one is the wiser!
