What was it the Japanese called it? 'the forked tongue devil'? - fantastic original plane when with twin Allisons (or Merlins was it?) BTW our local flying field (Damyns Hall) has a replica Mustang based here. Unfortunately a Rotax flat 4 just dosen't quite hack-it in the sound department

Alisons i beleive!!! same as the kitty hawk.
Alas i saw the last flying example crash at duxford a few years ago sad day for both pilot and the plane.
