Just had an email from the US from a friend of mine, 08 Crystal Red C6 Z06 6,300 miles $50,000, 08 Black C6 Z06 200 miles $55,000, 67 red 427 conv with hard top $60,000
Anyone got the money and fancy any of these?

Nigel, I can certainly confirm that the American Corvette prices and present exchange rate have some very good deals showing up, but you still need to do your research before taking the plunge.
The reason that I say this is, because I have just purchased a 64 C2 convertible with hard top and it should be getting to the UK on the 20TH Nov.
Got a very good private purchase deal from a guy in Houston and as well as that I will be able to take advantage of paying the 15% v.a.t. which reverts back to 17.5% Jan 1st 2010
I will leave you to guess the the colour of the C2 Nige!!!!!!

Unless your planning on a name change I would guess......RED!

I really want a 1965 Red convertible, so I will be very jealous when I see it!

Thanks for that Kev, and update is that the boat docks this Friday at Thamesport, so should be driving her up from Chatham sometime next week.

That is beautiful......pity about the bloke behind the wheel in the pic!!

Those splined wheels with the spinners are exactly how I want my one to be!

Re: Interesting Corvettes for sale

Dave,The car that I am about to pick up is the culmination of a search for exactly the right car to buy, in my eyes.
In all, the length of time, and cars looked at, has been well over twelve months and I have looked at about a hundred C2,s on various websites and physically inspected several, but the standard available for sale was mostly simply not up to par.
This car is coming from Houston Texas and was a private sale.
Before going ahead with the deal I had accumulated over 100 photo,s of the car and had a full inspection carried out by automotive engineers.
Basically what I am saying is, I waited for the right one at the right price and I am about to collect it next week, with the aid of regional members I might add.
Fingers still crossed.
