Re: Classic Car Show, NEC 16th to 18th November 2012
Got this down to a fine art now...
Two nights in a Premier Inn on the M6, ..totally excellent and reasonably priced breakfast later at the NEC's own PI with the exhibitors and entrants, and then up the road to park (£10?) and attend the show itself and we're still on the doorstep of the bike show for 9am on the Saturday!!
If anyones driving, my advice is to leave early, and do likewise.. sets you up for the day and gives you an early start before it gets too busy, and if you haven't been before, go for it.. You'll leave thoroughly entertained, inspired and possibly a few quid lighter due those 'must have' show bargains.. (...fancying a set of lifting ramps for the Corvette this year)
Highlights for me last year? Lots.. including watching the look on the Honda S800's owners face as I gave him lots of hints and tips about his car, chatting to Mike and Edd, ..and last but not least, meeting and chatting to Moneypit and his buddy, and scoping the cleanest C4 ive ever seen!!
Roll on November!

N.B. The discount only works for the Saturday/Sunday, doesn't discount the Friday price (which is already more)

I'll try and find out why that is. It may be because that's also a press day?

Yeah, Friday is £25, Sat and Sun are £18.50, think their discount to club members is getting less and less generous each year, sure it used to be more off (and lower to start with!) especially when, having knocked the £2 off, they add £1.75 admin charge straight back on! Not complaining at you Dave, know it's not your fault!
If I do go this year I'll go Friday as I'm away over the weekend.
