Location: Essex / East London Joined: 17 Apr 2004 Posts: 359 View user's profile	Sun 05 Feb 12 23:21 Re: coolant anti freeze Hi Nick, because it's a bit tricky to drain all the coolant and you probably don't know what's already in there I'd choose a quality antifreeze that can mix with all other types. I bought some antifreeze from Customville (Dagenham, Essex) called something like universal gold but if you go in there and ask Trevor, Russ or Steve they'll give you the right stuff. Manufacturers recommend Dexcool though there seem to be quite a few negative comments about it turning to "Dexsludge" in the USA! If you can get every last bit out (by draining the block via the knock sensors - (yuck as it all runs down your arm!) the bit about mixing with the old stuff isn't so important but I like that gold stuff - got it in the Mustang too.
