Just joined up with view of entering the fold. + pic of ride I just sold :( Message Icon

... after 5 years of satisfying ownership, took advantage of rising prices and sold my pride and joy. a 2003 NSX targa

Now looking at spending some time here, learn as much as I can and then pick a year/model Vette to get into.

So.... Hello, All!

Does Chev do Imola Orange Pearl???

Hi!! Thumbs up

Corvettes are totally a source, dude.. They're No.1... No going back, ever! It'll change your life. No matter how bogus your day is dude, the moment you hear those pipes and feel the rush, everything is good with the world. You become 10 again, but instead of just looking at a picture on your wall, its real and, ..its yours, man!! Just do it! Cool

"..my Corvette Stingray does one eighty five, ..I sold my Honda and need a new ride!!"

Welcome to the forum

I've always had a soft spot for the NSX ever since I first watched the video of Senna driving one around Suzuka I think it was

Anyway best thing you could do is join the club, browse some club mags and try and get to some local meets.

You didn't say which Gen you are interested in. Once youve picked the Gen you'll need to swat up on the options etc it was available in

There is an Atomic orange C6 btw although rare over here. Don't think the colour is very popular although it does look way better in the flesh

Standard Vette chassis is unlikely to please you after that Honda so take a look at cars with Z06 in the name. Lighter chassis and better brakes.

Orange is a great color on C6 although not the most common. Atomic looks very good and there's also been another called Inferno. I don't think either of them appear in the 2012 color chart.

You'll enjoy a Vette!

You are definitly looking for a C5 (cheap at around £15K) or a C6 Corvette.
If you go for a C5 then go for one 2001-up. The engine makes better torque.

Anything older is going to be like driving a truck after that Honda.

You also want either the Z06 as sugested or a fastback version with the FE3 / Z51 suspension.

A good friend of mine had a low mileage first generation NSX for years and only sold it recently due to her just not getting to drive it often enough.
I drove it once and loved it.

Er, ex-friggin'-cuse me Mr roppa440 Toetap - 'Anything older is going to be live driving a truck (after that Honda)' - I'll have you know Sir that I and many 'early' Vette owners like driving cars with 'truck' like handling Rofl - (in preference to the anethsetised experience of so many late model 'close your eyes' and guess what car you are driving syndrome) Clap

Ho Ho Ross is upset, nice of the 'vette owners to be honest and show appreciation for the NSX though. Clap

Really?

I know my ZR1 is not stock but I know which one I'd rather have on mountain passes in the Alps. You are sooooooo wrong.
