Clandon Park car show in aid of Macmillan cancer support - 17 July 2011

Calendar Event: 17 Jul 2011

An opportunity to show your support for a good cause on Sunday 17th July 2011. Here is the detail from the organisers:

Macmillan Cancer Support, Guildford Area Group are holding a Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day at a superb location on the Clandon Park Estate, West Clandon, Surrey, by kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Onslow. Access to the show ground is directly off the A247 in West Clandon village, which is 4 miles east of Guildford.

As well as a display of Classic Cars and other vehicles, there will be a large hospitality area for refreshments, food and picnics, an entertainments area for small children with pony rides, bouncy castle etc., other interesting stalls and displays and musical entertainment from the Surrey Pipers Band.

We invite Classic Car and Vehicle Clubs and individual owners to join us, show off their superb vehicles and make this an enjoyable and fun day for all.

Admission to car and vehicle exhibitors, one adult passenger and children under 10 years old is free. Admission for all other visitors is £7 per person on the day.

This is a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support and all proceeds from the event will be donated to support their work with Cancer patients and their families.

I will be liaising with the organisers re numbers attending as we will have a dedicated area on the show ground for our vehicles, so no need to register with Clandon / Macmillan, just let me know if you would like to take part.

Re: Clandon Park car show in aid of Macmillan cancer support - 17 July 2011

I have had a note from the organisers and a few extra details for this super event now:

"Thank you for registering your Club’s attendance and generously supporting the
very first Macmillan Cancer Support Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day to be
organised by the Guildford Area Group of Macmillan Cancer Support.

It will run from 11.00 to 4.30 and the full address is

Clandon Park, West Clandon, Surrey, GU4 7RQ

The show will be accessed from the A247, The Street, West Clandon and will be
well signposted in the local area on the day. The entrance to the show will be
approx. 50 metres north of the National Trust entrance to Clandon Park House
(please do not use this entrance). The most appropriate post code for SatNav
users is GU4 7RQ."

For those that want a lovely short cruise there will be a meeting point at Rykas Cafe on Boxhill (RH5 6BY) leaving at 10.00am and going via the A25.

There is no charge for entry but you will need a vehicle pass that I can e-mail you but please let me know if you are interested ASAP so I can reserve a suitable sized pitch for us.

Fantastic - 12 cars for this event already Clap (including a couple of mustangs...)

Keep 'em coming - a great day out at a National Trust property in aid of a good cause - and no cost except what you donate.

Thumbs up
