From A to Zed...The return of 'Purple Haze' Message Icon

The beans where sort of spilled in another post on Friday night Smile but this is official confirmation that I'm now back in the saddle having sold my '75 at the start of this month to pursue the possible ownership of a C4 ZR-1. There were four possibilities out there, each one slightly different with their own way, and all with potential, simmering deal breakers! Confused

Now this is where the Club can prove invaluable Yes, and with the help and advice from friends, fellow Corvette Club members my choice was made, it would be the Black Rose ’91 ZR-1 that was currently residing in Norfolk with its 4th owner... For those web users with long memories its 3rd owner, Louise Knights was on the forum under the pseudonym of 'Purple Haze' hence the nickname!

With the purchase made I picked up the Vette this Friday with Dale (Z06) in his C5 ZO6. This of course made for a very enthusiastic return to West London, with me loving every minute of it! Very Happy

Clap So many thanks to Alan Dodds for parting with it, and to Dale Howard, Peter Woolfrey, Brett Grant (Gixer), Alan Lewis and Vaughan Watkins for providing all the help and advice I needed to put this BIG grin on my face. Very Happy

A few pics…

Re: From A to Zed...The return of 'Purple Haze'

Congratulations Simon! Clap

I've been otherwise occupied recently, so missed the “clues”! It looks a great car, I always loved that colour and, as Brett can attest, have a “thing” about the C4 ZR1! So, I’m not at all envious of course (especially as it’s virtually impossible to bring one into France privately! Sad )

But seriously, great stuff, hope you enjoy it! I’m sure Brett will tell you how good it’ll be for European trips! Thumbs up
