The 2022 Nationals will be taking place at Sywell Aerodrome with accommodation, AGM and Saturday night Gala Dinner, taking place in the onsite Aviator Hotel. There is plenty of hard standing for the display cars adjacent to the airfield and the added attraction of the Sywell Aviation Museum.
Following the “All members” email which was sent out 9/11/21 the Saturday night hotel rooms have all been allocated but reception are keeping a waiting list in the event of cancellations. There are still rooms available for both Friday and Sunday nights for those thinking of making it a full weekend event, and there are a couple of larger hotels (Travel Lodge & Ibis) within 5 miles of the airfield. Details about the CCCUK code needed for booking can be found in the Members Only forum.
It will be the same format as previous Nationals with some members arriving on Friday and helping with site set up. Saturday arrivals will have the choice of finding their preferred parking space or a trip out to Santa Pod for a ‘Run what you Brung’ meet. The AGM will be at 16:00 on Saturday and members are encouraged to attend. The gala dinner held in the Cirrus Suite will be followed by live entertainment by the fabulous Lola Lamour.
Sunday will be Show & Shine day with a musical backdrop, CCCUK supporting vendors and trophy presentation. Our chosen charity is the onsite Sywell Aviation Museum a non-profit making organisation that relies on public donations to keep open.
