There’s a 1995 pace car for sale on cars and classics. 1 of 527 made and is an actual parade car to boot. Ultra low mileage of 4500 miles. Originally imported into Holland, and then into the UK

That was on display at Stars & Stripes this year. The owner - Southern Cars is where I bought my first Corvette also a C4 in 1986 I think. Stunning real pace car that was one of the 50 odd cars that actually went round the track

1:527 replic’s produced, which is a pretty low number for pace car replica’s.
It was also a parade car used for “VIP’s “ to be paraded around the circuit and track on race day which to some people will add value. Low mileage is nice, but that needs to be kept low.

It still has its designated parade number 50 decal on the windscreen and original tyres. It's as new a real time capsule. The Pace car registry went nuts over it

Here’s one of the 3 actual pace cars
As you can see it’s fitted with a strobe light bar which is required.
Three pace cars are made, 1 goes to the winner of the race, 1 kept by Chevrolet and 1 by the Indy museum.

"Given the honour of acting as Pace Car to the Indianapolis 500 race in 1986 & 1995, Chevrolet marked the latter occasion by producing a limited edition run of 527 Indy Pace Corvette Convertibles, with just 59 cars assigned to the Race Track Parade.

This particular example was one of the cars actually assigned to the parade prior to the 79th Indianapolis 500 held on May 28th 1995 and The Pace Car Registry have kindly confirmed that this car was assigned to Jeff Belskus, President & CEO of IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway), for the parade and unusually retains the ‘50’ window sticker, so often removed.

The car was imported to the Netherlands in 1996, with import and tax/duty documents present and then imported to the UK in 2005, again with all correct import and tax/duty documents present.

To add to its rarity it has covered JUST 4,530 miles."
