I am selling a pair of Flowmaster backboxes, these were fitted to my 2007 C6 from around 1 year old until I removed them around a year ago. There is light surface rust only on the body of the boxes (whish you don't see when fitted), mostly on the welds. The stainless tips are shiny and would polish up well with some fine wire wool. These give a very nice sound, more volume than standard of course, but not offensively loud and with minimal drone.
There are various sound clips here:
I changed them for the NPP exhausts, for two reasons, firstly so I can drive on track at Thruxton (very low volume limit) and secondly that I live in a small village and sometimes return from work in the early hours (I wish to keep a low profile!).
These will easily fit using the stock rubber mounts, you will need to cut the standard back boxes off your car and the pipes slide over the top and are clamped in place.
