Gearbox oil

Hi all, going to check level in gearbox , can anyone tell me what is the recommended oil for the box . also is the level the normal plug in the side of the box ? Thank you.

Can’t remember the spec but you want a GL4 (not 5 or 4/5) as it’s an older box with brass alloys. I’ve used Millers in mine.

Interesting read on the description of Redline MT90 on their website. So ordered a couple of quarts . I have no idea what is in mine so feel a change to a recognised synthetic gl4 will give me peace of mind . May help with shifting and wont hurt yellow metals in the synchros. , anyone else tried it ?
