I took my Corvette to the beach today

Chassis looks in good nick. Did you lift the body off by hand?

No, I used a block and tackle in the garage with a couple of acrows to support the roof truss.

Birdcage looks tidy too, where did the car come from? Did you attach to the seat belt mounts at the back? What about the front?

Sorry for all the questions, might be something I have to do in the future.

Tim,
Happy to be of help if I can. I used the seat belt mount at the back and the door hinge bracket at the front.
The chassis is solid, but the windscreen surround only looks good now that I've repaired and painted it. I checked the birdcage and chassis as best as I could before I bought the car, but I only found the damage once I'd removed the dash panel and windscreen. As you can see, it wasn't pretty.

Thanks, that looks nasty, you forget that despite being fibreglass there’s an awful lot of metal in a Vette.

What are you going to paint the chassis with?
