Hello all, I am new here and after lots of reading and research I have now set out on my search . I have seen 4 corvettes so far but all need work in different areas, which I do not care for ,so I am prepared to pay more for a better car ,I'm not to fussed what year but it must be correct and a C3 , I would prefer to buy from someone who knows corvettes not just a dealer or so that may just have one in for a quick flip
Recommended dealers or private seller welcome, recommendations, referals or warnings welcome

Just my opinion, lots of tatty junk sold here for far more then it's worth. I'd look for a good car in the states, pay a Vette specialist to send you a detailed report of the car including pictures of the kick ups and body mounts, if the seller has an issue with checking the front cage mounts the car is rusty and not worth your time. USA vette forum is incredibly helpful and you will find a much better car if you are patient. Shipping via STS will be 2500-3000, you can have spare part shipped in the car to save on shipping. Yes it's a risk buying sight unseen but I did it and ended up with a rock solid car for a great price (though I was looking for a project not a ready to drive car)

Oh and no matter what, unless it's had a frame off restoration every car will need something, however little, they are old.

If you are really serious Rogueone - and in the financial position to 'move' quickly on a mid 70's coupe I may be able to link you up with an ex-ccuk members car in east London.

Regarding better prices in the US I'm not so sure, especially as the present exchange rate is not favourable.
I saw a nice enough, but not perfect, C2 on a video link advertised in Tennessee recently asking $44.950
At that price, by the time it's landed in the UK, there are cars here that represent better value - and you can tyre kick (y)

This '74 350 auto coupe will be advertised on here a little later with full details - ideal starting/running/stopping project car - will be offers on £8500 and over............
