I missed a few including the bandit trans am. The 69 with the mako shark paint job was my favourite! If I went for a C4 it would be red.

Nice one. Did you get to have a good look around lots of C3s to see what is right for you etc?
Yeah I'm thinking 80-82 in red or maybe a red C4 but the second design like the one above. I think I'd keep the license plate cover on and have a small plate hanging off because it looks better. I'd like a chrome C3 but probably go a little cheaper to start off with.

Looks like you must have walked by as me and Steve Jenkins were checking the alternator voltage output with a handy little digital device he lent me which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket.. im guessing you must have heard me fire it up then. Didnt say hello!
My daughters favorite was the Mako painted C3 because she wants to cuddle Sharks (and you all think im mad!).

I don't like to interrupt. :censored: Yeah that shark paint job fits the 69 perfectly that would be my dream paint job but I don't wanna be a copycat!

Nice one. That's the good thing about going to these club events, you get to see a huge variety of these beasties, pick up so many ideas and chat with the owners. Really helps when making up your mind. You can always get a cheaper Vette now and see how it suits you etc, and then later on down the line you could get a different one if you wanted.

James, C4’s are great cars, in fact easily a daily driver even in today’s traffic. The improvements made over the years turned it into a very nice car. Agreed the later revised front/back and the interior in my opinion is better than the earlier examples. Would you like a coupe or convertible.

They are extremely good value for money at the moment. Sooner rather than later they will be on the way up.
I prefer the C4 to the C5 in coupe form.

I'd go with a red coupe and yeah the C4 looks better than the C5 in my opinion but I saw a red C5 at the London car show and it looked awesome but I like the low profile hood and square tail lights of the C4 more.

Have you checked Insurance premiums?.. (for one not so advanced in years).. 300 horsepower!
Classic Insurance is usually inexpensive but then we're mostly older than our cars.

Good point. Worth checking to see what it will cost premium wise. The youngest C4 (1996) is now 25 years old, so many companies will cover it as a classic with limited mileage. Get a few quotes and take it from there. Good hunting.
