Outdoor car cover.

Coincidentally, this question came up recently on an American car group on Facebook. They all seemed to think car covers were a waste of time as the moisture stays under it from condensation, and the weather blows the cover slightly which makes tiny scratches. They seemed to think the best thing to get was a "car coon".

I too have used car covers in the past, and they mostly billow around and sometimes partially blow off. I've not noticed much scratching from mine and mine was a cheapy one from Halfords or Ebay or some such.

In the end though, I invested in renting a garage from the council to put the car in. Not ideal by a long shot, but still better than a cover. Thankfully now though I've moved to a house with a dry double garage, so that worry is over.

There are portable garage/tents available for around £450 available - something I have been looking into myself since a recent relocation
