My 1972 C3 is fitted with the original base (200bhp) small block engine. There is not an air pump fitted and the only modification from stock that I am aware of is a recent Summit 1102 road cam (specs. 204/214 duration and .421/.444 intel exhaust lift). I have a 2" exhaust system. Will I gain any improvement in power, torque or fuel ecomomy by fitting Summit 11106FLT long tubular headers.

Its '72 so the first real year of emissions - if c/r isn't too low the cam would benefit from better scavenging at higher rpm.

I guess CR is stock 8.5:1 confirmed by compressions reading 145 lb square inch.
