Some translations for you direct from my Texan girlfriend. ;)
Everyone = Y'all
Main straight = Back straight away
Bumper = Fender
Porker = Porsche

Hope that helps.... 🤣

OK got it :)

Why did the 2 porkers just get a 15-second delay in their pit stops, giving the Corvette the lead ?

The 2 spaghetti benders ( in Texan = Ferrari ) should just go home, too slow :)

Corvette leads GTE-Pro after the opening round of stops after the 1st hour of race

Nick Tandy in the No. 64 Corvette C8.R jumped ahead of the pole sitting No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 driven by Kevin Estre after the Briton had put heavy pressure on the Frenchman prior to their respective stops.
Tandy started the race in third place, but pulled in front of the No. 91 Porsche of Gianmaria Bruni in the opening stint.

Both Estre and Bruni have been given fifteen-second stops and hold penalties to be served during their next stop for start procedure infringements.

Heavy accident for the race-leading Toyota GR010 Hybrid driven by Jose Maria Lopez caused a red flag three and a half hours into the 1000 Miles of Sebring.
Lopez’s No. 7 Toyota dramatically overturned after running hard into the right-side tire barriers at Turn 14.

The Argentine driver walked away from the scene of the crash, and Toytoa Gazoo Racing has stated that he attended the medical center with “no reported injuries”.
That impact came only a few moments after Lopez slid into the right-side barriers at the Turn 9 kink, following a touch between his car’s right-front corner and the left-front of Julien Andlauer’s Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19.

Lopez was managing a slender lead over Brendon Hartley in the No. 8 Toyota, although the two Toyotas were theoretically behind the Alpine A480 Gibson on pit strategy.
Alpine has controlled the first three and a half hours of the WEC season-opener, with Andre Negrao stepping into the grandfathered LMP1 car around 17 minutes before the red flag.

C8.R Corvette Racing held the upper hand in GTE-Pro as the two Porsche entries embarked on a joint recovery from 15-second penalties due to inappropriate actions during the starting procedure.

Tommy Milner possessed a 17-second buffer over Kevin Estre in the No. 92 factory Porsche when Lopez crashed, with Gianmaria Bruni third for the No. 91 Porsche crew.
Nick Tandy took the lead at the first round of stops when he opted for a double stint while the Porsches changed tires.
The gap reduced in the second hour, but Tandy kept Michael Christensen at bay up to the second stops, when Porsche observed its penalties.
The AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evos have not yet featured in the Pro battle, with the Italian marque’s No. 52 which is now 3 laps behind the C8.R

Well that sucks as now all the other cars were able to catch up with the C8.R under the red and now yellow lights :(
so the 15-second penalties for both porkies is wiped out and C8.R is now dropped to second place :(

Before the red flag, the C8.R was like 20-30 seconds ahead of the others in class and now with
5 hours into the race, they are about 40 seconds behind the leader
smile

So, WTF happened ?

The 92 Porker has more pace and led within seconds of the restart.

The 91 Poker was trading places with the C8 until we had a slow pitstop (some 10 seconds extra for door damage from a Prototype.)

That put us behind the Fezza who then held us up.

We were pulling in on second, but as the Porkers pitted, let's see what happens now.

I don't see the fat lady reaching for the mic yet!

GO CORVETTE!! 😎👍

Thanks for that info

Even with both of them, pitting that time will not make up that the C8.R is now almost 2 minutes behind
and down to the last 2 hours of race soon :(

Apparently we have two full new sets to play with.
