Thought this may be of interest to some group members.
I Came across this vette in lake como earlier this year summer time.
Just parked up at the side of the road in Lenno.
It needed a good scrub if I'm honest.

Only just got round to posting it.

I believe it to be a 1966 mosport green 427 turbo jet
Original Production numbers: 2311

let me know what you think

Tom, it's a '66 yes and could be a L36 427 / 390 or a L72 427 / 425. Turbo Jet was I believe '65 only on the 396 / 425 like my silver one. It's not a '65 as Mosport Green wasn't available in 1965 and '65's don't have the Corvette script on the hood. There's a slim chance it is one of the few L72's that escaped the factory rated at 450hp before GM reduced it by way of a replacement air cleaner decal to 425hp It looks great and love the colours

Thanks for the information.
Very interesting.
Its was very nice in real, like you suggested I think it was a rare example. The mosport green would look great over here at a show.
Yours is a beautiful example.

I stand corrected, '66 427 was a Turbo Jet too..
CorvetteDNA is an app on the App Store put together by the corvette museum: tells you all data of corvettes back to 53 options ect for every year only thing missing from it is some of the paper work that was lost in the fire back in early 80s I think
