In this case, the crazy driving landed a 23-year-old man in trouble with the cops, and most likely his father, who just happens to own the C8 Corvette Stingray.
In a social media post to X on Tuesday, with Prince’s lyrics “Little Red Corvette…you’ve gotta slow down” at the top, Peel Regional Police in Brampton, Ontario, Canada shared a photo of the impounded Corvette, which was actually Elkhart Lake Blue, but who’s to argue with the law?
Also included was an image of the officer’s radar gun showing a whopping 186 km/h (which equates to 115.6 mph for our American readers) in a 60 km/h or 37 mph zone.
The incident happened in the Humber West Parkway-Queen Street area of Brampton, and the young man has been charged with stunt driving. His license was also suspended for 30 days, and the Corvette was impounded for two weeks.
