Sells for total of $247,500 at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach !

The most distinctive feature of this Corvette for many enthusiasts is the wild appearance of its custom body panels that were calculated for best driving performance.
If you thought the ’82 Collector Edition had the only opening rear hatch in the C3 lineup, take a look at this special car’s that not only opens but was specially designed for the curvature of the body.

Corvette Hall of Famer John Greenwood took a special interest in these cars, modifying the front suspension and coming up with the 5-link rear suspension, for example. He even signed the dash of this one, and two more prominent autographs from his brother Burt Greenwood and Corvette chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov are on the extra air cleaner.

Despite its powerful engine and crazy design, this 26,000-mile Corvette includes luxury items like air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power steering, power brakes, tilt-telescoping steering column, power mirrors, power seats, cruise control, blue mirror-glass T-tops, and a hidden roll bar.
While the base cars had 85 mph speedometers mandated by the federal government, this one has been upgraded with a more appropriate 165 MPH
