Given that many Corvette owners have cherished registrations, I saw this advice posted on Pistonheads and even though it's a few months old I thought it would be useful to post here too:

On the subject of private number plates - quite a few vehicles where the owner has put a private registration number on an otherwise fully ULEZ compliant vehicle (so 2006/2006 and onwards petrol cars) even though the vehicles have registered (and accepted as compliant) on the Congestion Charge/ULEZ database it apears that many owners are getting penalty fines for non-compliancy. Most owners seem (in the end) to get the penalty fines recinded......obviously only an issue if you are choosing to travel through London.......just be aware! (especially those of you displaying later cars at the upcoming car show in City Road)
