Track Day

Our Central and North regional rep - Keith Dunkinson organises a Track Day once per year. This is limited to 24 cars running in 4 groups of upto 6 cars. No more than 1 group of 6 cars at once on the whole track - making it a low risk event and each group gets 15 minutes in the hour from about 9-5 minus a lunch hour.

There will be one or two Corvette Groups and two groups for other types of cars. To create a very safe environment overtaking is by permission only on specific straights. This suits inexperienced track drivers at the expense of more experienced track drivers and racers, but creates a relatively safe and easy format to experience the Corvettes within yours and your cars limits. At the moment we have one group of 6 cars and would love to create a second.

The event is all day at Blyton Park Race Circuit. This is an old airfield with new tarmac and generally very good run offs (if you decide on an alternate route). It is popular with track day organisers and speeds wont exceed 115 even in a C8.

Cost is £250 per car. It's not cheap because we run 24 cars not 60! and no profit is made - usually runs at a small loss. There is a professional instructor on hand who charges £20 per session - this has been subsidised by the event.

It's very social and expect to meet lots of people, perhaps experience their cars and share a ride in yours. There is decent food and drink available all day at the Cafe. Bring helmet(s) and check your cars fluids, brakes and tyres before the event. We usually do a dinner at the Black Horse in Blyton for those stopping over the night before and if your quick you may still get a room there.

Any questions contact Keith.

CCCUK, Keith and the Track do not provide insurance for you or your car - to be clear that's NOBODY. Trackday policies are available from companies such as Moris.co.uk.

To date we have no accidents or even near misses and will eject any driver who looks they will cause risk to others (no refund).

RSVP if you are interested and Keith will get you sorted or answer any questions.
