I love mine too.....
It's made several jobs possible I'd never have been able to tackle safely without it - and a really big plus is it stores under the car when not in use,,,,,

That’s right Ross. The chassis rails curve inward at the front so this was about as far forward I could get it and still be inline with the rear jack point.
Car was solid though and front end wasn’t going anywhere. As you say, a BB might have been a bit riskier.

Now I've got a Karcher pressure washer, but not the snow foam attachment. Have never snowfoamed any of my cars, but willing to learn. Presumably the attachment/tank (?) allows you to make the mixture as concentrated as you like? But still comes out watery? My old C7 at Ades' in Notts (Ade sadly passed last year) getting the Karcher snowfoam treatment attached.

Yes, there’s a little dial to adjust the mixture but even on max setting there still seems to be too much water going in. I get results much like those in your pictures but I’ve seen others get a really nice layer of thick foam, which then has a bit of time to sit and break down the dirt before it runs off and you do any further rinsing.

I've been snow foaming for a few years using my K series Kärcher pressure washer and Autobrite foam and lance......
In my experience while it's effective at removing loose particles before proper washing, it's not the car cleaning 'silver bullet' that some of the detailing forums would have you believe. Varying the density of the foam by changing the suggested dilution, the power of the washer and the setting on the lance can give a satisfyingly thick covering but I'm not sure that this is any more effective than a thin one. It probably helps to reduce swirl marks if used before washing by hand but I'm not sure it's any better than using the pressure washer direct, although there are of course areas of the car where using full pressure is not a good idea.
It brings my Daimler up pretty well......
.....but since I've had the 'Vette it's not driven sufficiently to get properly dirty any more...

Not all soap will produce foam
One I use has been around for many years and the version I use has no wax in it
though they also make a version that does
This type of foam soap lifts the dirt off without having to scrub the paint finish
Amazon $30 a gallon but they sell smaller bottles
The sprayer I use, Amazon, $40 and has 2 streams, one for foam and other for rinse adjusted by a slider switch
to adjust how much or no soap and all water spray
Also has different spray nozzles, that includes one that has a pattern for foaming
I attach this to a pressure washer but could be attached to a garden hose

One things for sure, the car detailing and products industry has grown and grown over the last years. I had my daily driver machine polished and ceramic coated last year. Should I be snowfoaming it and with what? Even discussions/threads on that:

This is what I'm hoping for too, in unfortunately a few more years time before I can retire.At least it finally gave me the opportunity for a good redundancy settlement and early retirement on full pension .

Pretty much the process I follow using Gliptone PH cleaners and shampoo. Never felt the need to take a brush to seems and gaps though..
I dry them with a Bigboi blower that has tempered and filtered air which are great as they get all the water out from under scripts and emblems etc..

Corvette stayed at home, but as my father is a steam train enthusiast, we've visited "De Miljoenenlijn" close to Valkenburg in the Netherlands. You can see the work place, projects that they have over there and off course train rides. Now with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands, they had a small re-enactment happening.

The steam powered air brake pump sounds very odd and noisy on that tank loco though !! Not like the soft asthmatic pant of a Westinghouse Brake Pump . Unfortunately I missed the 1940`s event on the Great Central Railway where I volunteer as I was on holiday .

Had a `BIG gulp of air ` day today after receiving the awaited call from Williams Brothers Speed Shop . I had left the C3 with them whilst on holiday to investigate slow up shift problems on the TH350 tranny as I knew fluid levels were ok . Turns out it needs a total rebuild and new electronic lock up . Ouch !! Gonna be off the road a while meaning I miss out on a few up and coming shows and events .

Clearly railway health & safety is less strict in the Netherlands than the UK . Riding on thee loco side steps is totally banned these days by the Office of Road & Rail Regulator ( ORR) . It was common practice years ago to save a lot of working during shunting operations . I would often hang on to the hand rails and side steps to save climbing in out of the cab but not any more !!
