Very promising new ebay listing

Apparently no rust but has close to 100k miles and the seat covers aren't the collector edition ones so will want to buy them later on. Apparently the previous buyer put a deposit down but backed out because of DVLA delays as it's a recent import.

The delays in registering imported vehicles has been well publicised. Mainly staffing problems, and go slows.
On a recent mustang it took 4 months, sometimes I’ve had it done in 2 weeks.

James, sooner or later you’ve got to pull the trigger. Whatever car you buy, I doubt you’ll keep it for ever, so it will be sold and replaced with another. Your first ‘vet’ will give you a taste, which you will either love or hate.
Go on, have a taste.

Corvette central have the factory correct seat covers at $720 . + shipping.
Covers mounted on new foam ready to install $1000 ish.
Obviously some tax to pay on import.

The gold in the front just a little too much for me

My 1989 C4, black, Texas summer heat :-(
I went light on the gold, also gold anodized on wheels with a vented high raise hood I designed

Funny story is I worked for GM at the tech center
I had one of the first 1989s with the new ZF M6 tranny and in the first week of owning it took it to a racetrack
and snapped 2nd gear in half :-(

GM was not too happy with me as they were spouting how strong this tranny was :)

Apparently no rust ? That`ll be the day ! Be sure to check all the usual suspect areas especially the the bottom of the A pillars in the bird cage . Ask to take the kick panels off in both foot wells to look inside . Only a couple of screws to whip out . Nothing wrong with those seats by look of it , if you buy it just enjoy the car as it is . You will have other more important things to spend £1000.00 on . I bought for a pair of brand new leather on new foams with the 2 inch bolsters from Claremont in 2017 for £895 + VAT so will cost more now I`m sure .

For me, the collector edition needs to have the correct interior, that’s one of the things that make it special. Exterior colour/Graphics, unique interior and wheels, and the opening rear hatch. Me personally would have to change them ASAP.
The seats ARE a bargaining point as the car should have them, and most potential buyers WILL know this and bargain accordingly. Bet your life they did when they bought it.
Best of luck.

Just realised the front bumper is missing the pencil stripes so must be replaced and the rear bumper seems to be a slightly different colour but that doesn't matter much.

Probably repainted due to parking damage or paint fade. Both front and back sections on all 74 and upwards suffer discolouration some even fall apart.

What about this one

I do like those last collector editions - strange that someone has used incorrect seat covers........correct ones would have done wonders for value.
Yes, don’t understand why they have done that at all. Also don’t understand why midland mustangs didn’t get the correct ones fitted prior to shipping it over. I know I would have.

Even with that mileage you'd reasonably expect to see a Collectors Edition at a higher figure, certainly from a dealer - (whether its worth the extra is a matter for conjecture)......just think that if its a 'cruiser' that floats yer boat - one of these has gotta be one to have

Always liked the exterior colour of the 82 collector edition, the interior may seem a bit snazzy to some but hey it was the early 80’s. A nice car to own in my opinion. The first corvette to break the $20k barrier when new. That was a ton of money back then. $20k would have bought you a real nice house in FL back then.
