I’m Ross Lemon, Business Manager at the new official Corvette dealership here in the East of England based in Colchester. We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the Corvette brand to this part of the UK — with a dedicated showroom, trained specialists, and a genuine passion for all things Corvette.

Thanks for the 'intro for the new dealership Ross. A very welcome addition for some of our Essex Region members who will no doubt be in contact with your service department (once established) for C8 servicing on recently purchased C8's.
I'm guessing Andy Maskery or Mark Eaton (our Essex Regional reps) will be in contact with you shortly.
Our next monthly meeting is Wednesday 15th October at the Crown PH, Sandon just outside Chelmsford, not very far down the A12 from Colchester.

Questions as to C8s owners would want to know

1. Exactly what is the process for C8s that have the Over The Air (OTA) software updates function
does that work as it does here in the USA or does the C8 owners have to travel to your dealer
just to get the software updates done.
Would that dealer have the wireless network, so owners just have to be on your lot for OTAs
or have to go to service dept, and they do all the updates manually ?

2. How handling TSBs or recalls
Such as the newest fix is when filling the tanks for gas a design flaw causes gas to spill into the engine bay area and cause
a fire
GM had a workaround but now has a redesign change part
What is going to be a time frame from time GM does fixes to when the dealer would have those parts in the UK to
Quickly make those changes ?

3. Service personal being trained to know exactly how to do maintenance process such as
when to properly do the DCT filter, fluid changes and required flushing of DCT fluids ?

Greetings Ross. I see from your Linkedin profile that you are the Business Manager at "Lookers" Volvo and Corvette in Colchester. Is it possible/any plans there will be more Lookers Corvette outlets in the near future in the South of England? Thanks/Peter

We do indeed have quite a few C8 owners in the region, all unanimous how great C8’s are.

Hi Chevrolet, not as far as I'm aware although I wouldn't rule out Corvette opening another in the south of England at some stage.

Thanks for the link to the Facebook group, its good to have access to current owners and get their feedback whilst we get to grips with the brand ourselves.

Thanks for the warm welcome Andy & Mark, I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to get together. We have a large car park right next to the showroom which has previously held large car meets which would be an ideal location for meets.
