After Chris's memorial where we had 15 club members and partners represent the club Chloe one of two daughters asked if there was any interest in some Corvette related items in the boot of her car that were heading for the dump. Of course we said, lets have a look. MINT 1/18th scale models most still in their boxes, sets of paintings from past Le Mans, technical guides, photo albums expertly documented which is typical of Chris and loads more.

We of course cleared her car out and as we were leaving Chloe said there's another box which I then arranged to collect this past weekend. Well there were another 5 boxes with similar items which made the trip back to Shrewsbury well worth it and everything has now been shared out to members that knew Chris apart from a few items I've set to one side for members that didn't attend our Christmas party yesterday where the items were handed out.
One of the most interesting items is a proof copy of the 750 page American Star Spangled Sports Car 1953-1982 that Chris was asked to proof read.

It's an extremely detailed book that is stuffed with facts and figures and Chris was basically given just two weeks to pour through the 750 pages to identify any factual errors which he then in his very organised way charted in his reply to the author.

Not really sure what to do with them but they'll stay in my Corvette library for now but I just found it incredibly interesting.
