1976 with mid year side exhausts

Here’s one I saw on eBay.com, it’s a 1976 with mid year side exhausts on.
Now I’m a lover of side exhausts, always have been going back to the days of the “Thrush” outsiders, but I’m just not sure I like the mid year exhausts on a C3. Much prefer the correct 1969 style on C3’s or hooker type etc.
Much the same as seeing 1969 side exhausts on a mid year.

I have to take it very easy going over the humps in my 65. I try not to use the roads with them if I can, but sometimes I’ve got no choice.

My view is 1969 Style pipes only on 1969-1973.

These also work on a 1973, but specifically 1974 - 1982.

Those chrome maximisers do look nice, and will certainly brighten up any 1974-82 corvette and will also compliment the factory chrome on 1968-73 cars. But for me personally, the only side exhausts for me on a C3 are factory 69 style. Love um

I wonder why the new style side exhaust was only offered for one year only. Obviously on intro in 1969, I thought it would have run for a few years. Very strange.
