When Euros say very few people would buy America's sports car, the Corvette
Correct them with facts

Since 1953, Chevrolet has built 1,936,435 total Corvettes.

As of the changeover to the 2026 model year, that puts just 63,565 units away from crossing the 2,000,000 mark.
Based on recent production totals, that major milestone should happen in 2 to 3 years,

The current C8 Corvette just hit its own landmark: there are now more C8 Corvettes on the road than C7s
C3s are still the most made, with C4s in second place

Pretty impressive production figures. However the majority of those purchases were US buyers in the United States. Foreign buyers for new at the time corvettes were very limited for various reasons. ie the importing countries import duty probably being the main thing, along with the corvettes thirst for fuel, as most other countries ( apart from the Middle East) had/has much higher fuel prices than the USA

GM also wasn’t too bothered with exporting the corvette during the C1/2/3 generations as they could sell all they could produce to the home market.

Still a big achievement tho, nearly 2 million cars sold bearing the corvette name.
