I took the udder out to clean it on the passenger side and this was cable tied to the udder. I think I can see a hose with a bit of pipe that has broken off it . I think I might have to off the wing to get access

Sorry it’s a c5 1999 I just found out the part number it’s 10188042 it’s for aircon. Vacuum. My air conditioning wasn’t working anyway so I might just leave it off for now.

That is not just for the A/C
That is a vacuum reserve tank
It is used to control the HVAC vent doors upper/lower, etc
Without that, heat, A/C or defrost cannot properly direct the flow to where needed

Also, the input side to tank comes from the back of the engine near the MAP sensor
IF that hose where that tank is mounted is open, then the engine is losing vacuum and will cause
engine not to function correctly or smoothly

At the least, take that small hose off by MAP and cap off the outlet nipple on block by MAP sensor

Yes, that tank is mounted off the A-pillar and sits above where the PCM and TAC controllers are behind
that inner fender
Towards the bottom of that fender is some small screws and a section of that comes off to get to the PCM
and look for the broken hose end to at least plug it off so no vacuum lose to engine

Not sure if that is enough room to get higher where tank is, if not that loosen that inner fender to reach behind
for tank location

For now, you could do is back of the engine in the center by firewall (IF you can get your arm back there and good lighting)
you can see from the passenger side is the MAP sensor, and next to it is the small like 1/8th inch vacuum how fits onto a nipple,
That hose is inside the wire loom that goes to the PCM and end of that hose than goes to that reserve tank

IF You could take the hose off by MAF and plug that nipple, so the engine does not lose vacuum when the hose is off
That allows the engine to run better as the PCM commands the engine depending on what MAP output is and with
that hose off by that tank causes vacuum leak and PCM commanding engine incorrectly
