Some proper man maths went into that, great advert for the work Aston Martin can do. Hopefully he drives it more than he got to the first time around.

When he bought it, it was just an old car, even tho it was an Aston. Surprised it cost £985. My friends 70or 71 DBS vantage cost £600 in 1977. We were 17 and he just passed his test. It didn’t have a lot of brakes, but we soon sorted them out. Boy did it like a drink. Kept it a little while then sold it for £400.
Fond memories.

I had a customer back in the early 80s who was really 'in-to' Aston Martins and was restoring a DB5 (or 6) automatic. I got a little close to considering a similar car to his, but again an automatic. Back then an auto option of DB5/6 (and DBS6) really limited the price and desireability and would really struggle to sell.

My old boss was a British car man, rolls, Bentley, Bristol etc bought a new one on the company every year without selling the old one . Bought a new Aston vantage in 1982 beautiful thing . I seem to remember that was Aston Martins worst year for production a mere 42 cars. Spent most of its life in the NCP in Queen Victoria Street. I drove it a few times, what a bruiser.
