General Motors Co. is experiencing "temporary parts supply issues" at its Chevy Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the automaker confirmed Monday.
The plant has continued to operate with lower output.
GM did not specify the supply issue, but it's not connected to the United Auto Workers' targeted plant strike against the Detroit automaker and its crosstown rivals Stellantis NV and Ford Motor Co.
"The plant is utilizing every effort to minimize downtime and produce as many cars as possible," GM spokesperson Kevin Kelly said in a statement.
"Our supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams are working closely with our supply base to minimize further impacts on production in order to meet the strong demand for our products."
