Hi Bob , I think you will find that the potential E10 problems apply to all older and classic cars . There has been a lot of chat and info posted on the forum for many months now with some very good research . Have a trawl through past posts and see you can find them , it will save us all having to repeat it all . There is also plenty of chit chat about the various merits of fuel additives . Good luck .

Bottom line with E10 and other ethanol content fuel with older engines is that it can erode some of the metal (and possibly other components) within the fuel sysyem. Far less of an issue for cars that are used on a regular basis. Simple answer is to use Esso's newly launched non-ethanol content super-unleaded (if available in your area)

Almost all one needs to know about fuel seems to be detailed here!

But as said above, basically avoid E10 like the plague. You can use additives like Millers EPS, or stay with the higher octane fuels that have a lower Ethanol content.

Over here I have found that using 98 Octane works out cheaper than adding EPS, and the 98 here has a low Ethanol content. And, the car seems to prefer the higher rating!
