C4 Engine.

My 1984 C4 engine is not good. The bottom end rattles on cold start. Can anyone here advise me of someone or somewhere that could help with a rebuild? I would prefer someone that could remove the engine as well. At a push I could remove it myself. Thank you in advance.

Of course Roscobbc, you are correct. I live in Donisthorpe, nw Leicestershire. Not far from Swadlincote or Ashby. DE12 7QL.

Sounds like you are fairly close to Gavin at EMC - the man to go to in the north midlands for your C3's and parts - maybe he'll have a suggestion for you?

I have asked him, and he said that he only deals with C3s.

A long shot perhaps but you could try John Sleath Race Cars over at Doncaster - built the engine for my Vette some years back - also has engine dyno and rolling road.......
