I've got the factory-fitted radio+cassette audio head and a 12 CD changer (that's hopelessly unreliable).
I've got a long European trip coming up and would like to get this sorted out before.
Can anyone recommend an upgrade installer in the UK?
I've seen there are various kits you can get in the US to either replace the audio head completely or modifiy the changer cables in the boot to add Bluetooth streaming.
Just a simple USB stick adaptor would be a good start.
I tried one of those adaptors that sends audio from a portable devices's headphone socket to the radio via an FM tuning. It was pretty awful quality.
Worse case, can you get generic replacement CD changers that fit the cable plugs?
I went to ask in a local car audio shop a while back and the young guys on the desk just laughed at me for wanting to play CDs!! :-(
