Corvette paces the 2021 Indy 500

No other car has paced the famous Indy 500 more than the Corvette.
Since it’s first outing as a pace car in 1978, it’s been a very regular choice to pace the race.

Here’s the latest version for the 2021 race to be held Sunday May 30th.

It’s almost as fast as the cars entering the race. In the hands of a Indy car driver would probably hold its own.
Chevrolet hasn’t released weather or not there will be any replicas made for general sale.
Three pace cars are usually made. One retained by Chevrolet. One for Indy, and one given to the race winner.

They wont be able to keep up with the C8 Zora pace car.
