Door Handle Rod

I can’t work it out from the AIM. What retains the threaded pivot on the rod from the exterior door handle in the lock mechanism? Presumably something goes in the groove.

A Circlip I guess . Can`t quite remember the full details of all the end fittings from when I replaced my door exterior handles .

It's a spring clip, I'll see if I've got a picture

It connects from the outer door handle to the latch, there is a special clip on both ends but different

Thanks Gavin. Got the spring clip at the handle end, just got to look through boxes of stuff for the other end. The door handles and rods were all in boxes when I got the car. I think I’ve got 3 LH handles!
