DXDT Racing will bring the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R to Fanatec GT World Challenge America next season for a two-car campaign. DXDT is a long-time competitor in GTWCA, along with GT America, currently campaigning a car for Scott Smithson and Bryan Sellers in the Pro-Am class.

“I’m tremendously excited to run the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R next year,” said team owner David Askew, who stepped out of the driver’s seat after the 2022 season. “We have developed a great relationship with the folks at Corvette Racing & Pratt Miller.

I look forward to working closely with them. They have a long history of winning races and championships all over the world, and we aim to leverage that expertise and put it to use at DXDT.
I particularly like the fact that we are starting with the car in SRO. We will be able to focus and really work on developing the car, and if we put our heads down and work hard, I think DXDT has a real opportunity to win races and championships in the coming years.”

The announcement marks the fourth program so far for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R in worldwide competition, with Pratt Miller set to campaign the car in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD PRO, AWA Racing in IMSA GTD, and TF Sport running the car in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
With 127 victories and 14 championships in worldwide competition, the Corvette Racing has marked 127 victories and 14 championships in its modern iteration.

“It’s a significant honor to have DXDT choose the Corvette Z06 GT3.R for the GT World Challenge America championship,” said Corvette Z06 GT3.R Program Manager.
“Our groups at Chevy Racing and Pratt Miller are very impressed by the investment that David Askew and his group have made with their race operations and level of professionalism during this process. We look forward to working with DXDT to contend for race wins and titles in GT World Challenge America.”

Built by Pratt Miller Engineering, a long-time partner of Corvette Racing, the Z06 GT3.R is the flag bearer of Corvette’s first customer racing program. DXDT will campaign two Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs, beginning when they receive their cars at some point after the season opener at Sonoma in April, with drivers to be announced at a later date.

DXDT Racing will add Chevrolet machinery to its program in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS next year, having confirmed a two-car Corvette Z06 GT3.R effort.

The North Carolina-based team, owned by David Askew, announced Thursday plans to contest the majority of the Fanatec GT season with the cars, becoming the first Corvette Z06 GT3.R customer in SRO competition globally.

Drivers have yet to be announced for the program, which is expected to debut in the third round of the season at Circuit of The Americas in May.

Askew said that they plan to remain with at least one Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in Fanatec GT next year and will start the season with additional Mercedes with its designated Corvette drivers prior to its transition to the Z06 GT3.Rs for the balance of the season.

DXDT is the third customer team to be confirmed with the Pratt Miller-built car, joining TF Sport and AWA, which will each campaign a pair of Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, respectively.

Combined with the factory-supported Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports program, DXDT is the final-expected customer team globally for the 2024 season.

“Our groups at Chevrolet Racing and Pratt Miller are very impressed by the investment that David Askew and his group have made with their race operations and level of professionalism during this process.

“We look forward to working with DXDT to contend for race wins and titles in GT World Challenge America.”
