I’ve just completed a three week 3700 mile trip around Europe in my C5; already having done a trip to Barcelona earlier in the year. I managed to get back from Genoa in Italy with a flat battery (parking on slopes or my son pushing to bump start it); and as many of you likely know getting a battery for these is not straight forward, so we had no option but to get home whatever it takes.
It really is a fantastic car for touring, whether it be autobahns or alpine passes it laps it up smoothly and with energy to spare. It always feels like its ready for more - but gets 27 mpg and has enough space for two for three weeks!
