My C3 was originally red but resprayed Violet Metallic after the body mods . I had so much hassle with it in the early days that it got christened `Purple Pain ` in keeping with the Prince songs connection . Get it ??
After the 1953 Corvette was produced in white only, the 1954 was offered in a number of colours of which red was one of them. So 1954 was indeed the first “little red corvette”
